Facebook is a great way to reach potential associates, and we are happy when we hear that you are interested in the jobs we’ve posted there. But Facebook applications don’t work with our computer system, and they don’t ask for all of the information that we need to match you up with the best employer, which is why we send you a link to fill out our online application.
Facebook uses their application as a data-gathering tool; they don’t offer us an option to substitute our own application in place of theirs. Of course, we don’t blame them, it’s an excellent tool, but we wish we could tweak it to fit the criteria of the employers we work with.
So, please, know that we aren’t trying to make things difficult, and we aren’t about having you jump through extra hoops “just to see if you really want the job.” What we really want is to find you the best fit, with the hours you need and the type of work you are experienced or interested in. Filling out our detailed application helps us move you down the path to a full-time, permanent position.
